Beginning nearly 70 years ago, there was Elkhart Little Theatre. Little theatres, literally “little theatres” with small memberships and small venues, had grown up all over the US during the depression. Check out a local show!

Our Home's History

The story behind the rock

This cottage was built by the original homeowner for his family in 1940.

A prominent feature of the property is a large rock that was previously situated at the end of the driveway. This rock served as a landmark for the family; historically, their daughter, Mary, used it as a seat while waiting for the school bus each morning.

We honored this landmark by moving the rock to the backyard, at the entrance to the trail leading to the river.

Today, Mary lives next door with her daughter and her daughter's family.
